Attorney Quinn is a Certified Family Law Specialist, a designation awarded by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and held by fewer than one percent of California attorneys. Certification requires passage of a rigorous specialist examination, extensive peer review by judges and opposing counsel, and demonstrated proficiency in complex trial practice.
Quinn is a seasoned trial attorney whose reputation for preparation, precision, and courtroom effectiveness gives his clients meaningful leverage in negotiation. In high-stakes family law matters, favorable settlements are rarely achieved through compromise alone; they are achieved when opposing counsel understands that trial is not a threat, but a reality. Quinn’s ability to litigate cases through trial—combined with his command of evidence, financial issues, and witness presentation—positions his clients to resolve disputes efficiently and from a position of strength.
Because Quinn prepares every case as if it will proceed to trial, his negotiation strategy is grounded in a clear-eyed assessment of risk, proof, and judicial decision-making. This trial-first approach allows him to identify pressure points early, narrow disputes effectively, and pursue settlements that reflect the true value of the client’s position—without sacrificing readiness should litigation become unavoidable.
Quinn’s courtroom presence reflects both discipline and clarity of presentation. A former collegiate rower at California State University, Long Beach, he brings the endurance and focus required for long-term, high-conflict litigation. His seven years as a professional touring actor further sharpened his ability to distill complex factual and legal narratives into clear, persuasive arguments for the court.
Born and raised in Quebec, Quinn is fluent in French. He earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, and his Juris Doctor from the Fowler School of Law at Chapman University.
In addition to his trial practice, Quinn is one of the rare family law attorneys who handles his own appeals. This dual mastery of trial and appellate advocacy was honed under the mentorship of the late Bill Kopeny, a preeminent appellate specialist who selected Quinn to co-author complex writs and appeals. Quinn has served as lead counsel and principal author on more than thirty appeals in state and federal courts. He approaches every trial with an appellate mindset, ensuring that issues are preserved and the record is fully developed—protecting the client’s position both at trial and beyond.
